Driven by Diversity...By Land, Air, and Sea!

Tonight from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. we will celebrate diversity with great food, games, and an international fashion show. We will also have performances from The Anne Frank "Kids Rock Band". Dress up in a traditional attire that represents your culture!

Our Portable Library

Our librarian, Ms. Kruetziger, stopped by our class today to checkout books since the library was been used for an event. As a teacher, I am excited to know that reading doesn't have to stop just because the library is closed! Thank you Ms. Kruetziger for all you do for my girls and boys!

A Community Wide Celebration of Reading

Today at 11:11 a.m. students throughout Dallas ISD spent 11 minutes of their day reading books, magazines, or other printed publications. Voluteers from all over the city joined this community wide celebration.

We were delighted to have Diane Stephenson, Area Development Director for the UNCF read to our class. She read Mrs. Edley's all-time favorite; Anansi and the Moss-Covered Rock by Eric A. Kimmel. The children were delighted to have her read to them. She emphasized that reading would prepare them for them from greater successes in their lives.
